Our festive, family event will draw competitors and visitors from all over the United States! There will be live entertainment, food, and children’s activities, providing a family day of fun and excitement!
The Garden State Chili Challenge has been designated by The Chili Appreciation Society to be the New Jersey State Chili Championship!
The competition will be sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) and contestants will vie for trophies, bragging rights, and CASI points to be used for entry into the Terlinqua, Texas National Chili Cook-Off as well as Garden State Chili Challenge title.
The top 3 CASI placing NJ residents automatically qualify for The Terlinqua International Chili Championship, and the first place winner automatically qualifies, regardless of his/her state of residence.
While the unique chili and showmanship entries (best costume, booth design, or “show”) are judged by local celebrities, the public will determine the winner of People’s Choice Award through cash donations to their favorite cook team.
